Science and Health

Journal

The Science and Health  is a quarterly journal (January-April, May-August, September-December). Journal is the publishing mean for the Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) health area’s research papers and, naturally, it’s open to national and international collaborations. The purpose of the scientific and multidisciplinary publication is to contribute to the discussion and dissemination of research results concerning topics of interest to the national and regional community, such as medical ethics, nutrition, public health, evidence-based medicine and medical education, as well as topics related to the updating and presenting of cases. It is also interested in the scientific production of the university and related national and international health areas focused on medical sciences, epidemiology and public health. The publication is a quarterly one.

The journal adopts, as a review policy, the evaluation of experts who through a systematic and confidential evaluation process, notify the importance and the scientific quality of the texts to be published here. In that sense, the review of an article is done blindly and performed by at least two experts who, through written statement, show the relevance of the submitted papers and the pertinence of posts in this journal. The publication will be published digitally and will have web presence through the use of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) for its editing and corresponding publication. Thus, it emphasizes that the articles will have DOI and will be indexed in important international databases. Read more...
