Factores psicosociales en cáncer cervical

Resumen
Este texto analiza el cáncer en los últimos años. Según la American Cancer Society, en América aproximadamente 76 millones de personas están expuestas a padecer de cáncer para los próximos años. En 1985 más de 870,000 personas fueron diagnosticadas con cáncer. Aproximadamente 45,000 personas mueren cada año a consecuencia de cáncer; esto es un promedio aproximado de 1,230 personas diarias. Estas cifras cada vez son más dramáticas, es por esto que hoy en día existe la necesidad de desarrollar investigaciones y técnicas basadas en datos controlados y no anecdotarios para pacientes cancerosos.
