The scope of the research is exploratory and descriptive, with a quantitative approach and the collection of information was from the use of a questionnaire with a total of 13 items in which close and multiple selection questions were presented, and the implementation of the survey was through the google forms tool. Identifying the perception of consumers regarding electric vehicles in the city of Santo Domingo is challenging considering that this type of product in the last five years has increased the presence of brands by more than 40%. Among those surveyed, 70% indicated that it would be very likely and somewhat likely that in the next five years they would be purchasing an electric vehicle, even though 56% perceive that sales prices are high. Another factor to highlight is the perception of the quality of electric vehicles compared to gasoline vehicles, where 54% have the feeling that both types of vehicles are of equal quality and 11% understand that electric vehicles are best quality. 2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Science, Economy & Businesshttps://revistas.intec.edu.do/index.php/ciene/article/view/3287Economic Valuation and Legal Aspects of Trade Fund in the Dominican Republic2024-09-03T16:21:53+00:00Bernardo Hirán Sánchez Melohiransm63@gmail.com This article, the product of an academic investigation, focuses on the economic aspect of the Goodwill in relation to the valuation methods within the framework of the legal, fiscal, and economic specificities and its application in some combined operations such as the rental, transfer, sale, strategic alliances, merger, rental and credit contract (leasing). The methodology applied in the research consists of determining the complementary value generated by the intangibles of selected companies, in such a way that the value of the company (global or set value) will be greater or less than the sum of the values of those assets necessary to develop the business activity. The result of the cases studied shows the existence of goodwill, so that legislation should be passed to establish regulations that regulate and recognize this economic category when companies are sold, merged, absorbed, transferred, or increasing the value of their shares. 2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Science, Economy & Businesshttps://revistas.intec.edu.do/index.php/ciene/article/view/3284An approach to subnational efficiency estimations for learning outcomes2024-09-07T03:24:47+00:00Ilvin Mendoza Carrascoi.mendoza@ce.pucmm.edu.do In the Dominican Republic, the literature is limited regarding subnational efficiency estimates of educational outcomes. This exercise consists of applying an input-oriented DEA model related to subnational learning outcomes, measured by the diagnostic test on learning outcomes for secondary education. Inputs include teaching performance, the proportion of households from the most disadvantaged socioeconomic groups, the ratio of teachers per center, ratio of students per classroom and per teacher, by province. The results show inefficiency at the national level, with average efficiency on the model with constant returns of 0.51, with variable returns of 0.68, and scale efficiency of 0.74. Nine provinces out of 32 produced a test score with scale efficiency. The findings invite policy makers to delve deeper into the substantial improvement of the educational system to increase efficient allocation of resources at the territorial level. 2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Science, Economy & Businesshttps://revistas.intec.edu.do/index.php/ciene/article/view/3031Employer Branding: a tool for attracting and retaining human talent and a strategist in the search for new financial products in Mexican SMEs2024-01-09T19:10:50+00:00Sinuhé Carlos Guardado Lópezguardadolopez@comunidad.unam.mxJerónimo Martínez Floresjeromar@comunidad.unam.mx In Mexico, MSME’s represent almost all of the existing companies in the country and are the ones that generate the greatest number of jobs, with their structure being predominantly family-based. However, this type of organizations, by their nature, focus on daily operations, neglecting strategic elements such as their employees and the financial aspect, resulting in the subsequent closure of the MSME's operations. The purpose of this article is to present the benefits that the implementation of employer branding would generate in the field of human capital and finances of MSMEs. The methodology used lies in a documentary, descriptive and non-experimental research. Likewise, MSME entrepreneurs must give importance to the control of their financial operations, as well as knowing the economic benefits that derive from the correct use and treatment of the company's resources. Applying this knowledge will help to maintain constant growth. and provide work peace of mind to the staff and employees of the same companies. 2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Science, Economy & Businesshttps://revistas.intec.edu.do/index.php/ciene/article/view/3010Short marketing circuits, territory and territoriality: exploring similarities, differences and rationale2023-12-09T01:06:59+00:00Dustin Tahisin Gómez Rodríguezdustin.tgr@gmail.comMiguel Arturo Nieto Aguirrecen@intec.edu.doCarlos David Martínez Ramírezcen@intec.edu.do The general purpose of this research is to carry out an in-depth analysis of the links between short marketing circuits, territory and territoriality, in order to understand how these dynamics, affect the configuration of local economic systems and the preservation of cultural identities. The methodology used is qualitative in approach and is divided into two different methods. In the first stage, analytical category search equations are used. Subsequently, a documentary review is carried out using the PRISMA method. The main conclusion obtained is that the dialogues between short marketing circuits, territory and territoriality build an interdependent system in which geographical proximity, cultural identification with the territory and local collaboration are intertwined to promote economic sustainability and preservation of cultural identities in local contexts. 2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Science, Economy & Businesshttps://revistas.intec.edu.do/index.php/ciene/article/view/3262Labor Informality and Unobserved Economy: A Literature Review Applied to the Dominican Republic2024-08-10T01:27:07+00:00Juan Bautista Rodríguez Núñezjuan142009@gmail.com This literature review, analyzing fifty-two references classified among journal articles, book chapters, reports, books, websites, and theses, examines labor informality and the underground economy in the Dominican Republic. Labor informality affects between 55.0% and 58.0% of workers, influenced by factors such as education, gender, and institutional barriers, disproportionately impacting women, who face higher risks of poverty. The reviewed studies also highlight that informality is procyclical, acting as an economic buffer in times of crisis, as seen during the COVID-19 pandemic, which exacerbated its negative impact on tax collection. Meanwhile, the underground economy, estimated to range between 35.5% and 38.0% of GDP, shares several causes with informality, including regulatory barriers, tax evasion, and the formal market's inability to absorb the entire labor supply. This connection between both phenomena reflects the interrelationship between the informal labor sector and the underground economy, where structural deficiencies in the institutional framework fuel both. 2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Science, Economy & Business
